The COUNCIL FILE INDEX (CFI) is a tracking system of all legislation considered and/or acted upon by the Los Angeles City Council. The electronic CFI contains records of legislation, claims filed against the City, contracts filed with the City Clerk and commendatory resolutions issued since the development of the system in 1979. The City Archives stores the handwritten and typed CFI dating from 1850 to 1979.
The Ordinance Search is an index to all City of Los Angeles Ordinances adopted since 1979.
