About Us

The Election Division is responsible for the conduct of Neighborhood Council and portions of Municipal Elections, as well as, on-going agency board elections. Municipal elections (Primary Nominating and General Municipal) are held in the even-numbered years and Neighborhood Council elections are held in odd-numbered years. As of 2020, the County of Los Angeles conducts the majority of the City’s Municipal election functions.
