1. FIND that the vacation of Alvarado Street (portion of northwesterly side) from approximately 50 feet to approximately 100 feet northeasterly of Baxter Street, is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, pursuant to Article VII, Class 5(3) of the City of Los Angeles Environmental Guidelines.
2. ADOPT the FINDINGS of the City Engineer dated August 12, 2005 as the Findings of the Council.
3. ADOPT the accompanying City Engineer report dated August 12, 2005 to approve the vacation and APPROVE the following change to Condition No. 2(a) of said report to read:
Construct a 14-foot wide half roadway (local hillside street standards) along the northwesterly side of Alvarado Street with integral curb and gutter and a 4-foot wide concrete sidewalk together with proper transitions to join the existing improvements.
4. INSTRUCT the City Clerk to set a public hearing date for November 2, 2005 - Findings ADOPTED - Categorical Exemption APPROVED - Set for Hearing NOVEMBER 2, 2005
