MELROSE PLACE FARMERS MARKET

Motion - Raw Inspiration Inc. will be holding the "Melrose Place Farmers' Market" each Sunday from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. on Melrose Place between Croft Street and La Cienega Boulevard (Event Coordinator: Jennifer McColm (818) 591-8286, Fax (818) 591-8216). The Fifth District Council Office has contacted residents and businesses in the area and have found that there is support for this Market. THEREFORE MOVE that the "Melrose Place Farmers' Market" sponsored by Raw Inspiration Inc., be declared a Special Event from June 3, 2007 - June 1, 2008, and that all City departments be requested to waive all fees, costs and requirements, except insurance. FURTHER MOVE that pursuant to Ordinance No 150567 relating to temporary street closures, Melrose Place between Croft Street and La Cienega Boulevard, be closed each Sunday during the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m., subject to the supervision of the Director of the Bureau of Street Services. FURTHER MOVE that the Bureau of Street Services be directed to furnish the necessary traffic control devices. These devices will be provided with the understanding that the sponsoring organization will return them to the Bureau. FURTHER MOVE that the Department of Transportation be directed to post "Temporary No Stopping" signs and provide traffic control personnel, as required. FURTHER MOVE that should unforeseen circumstances change the actual date of the Special Event, the aforementioned departmental instructions continue to apply.
