BRIDGE - HUNGTINGTON DR
Subject
Mo - The bridge located on Huntington Dr at Soto Ave, in the community of El Sereno, has a metal beam guardrail (MBG) that is outdated, damaged and unsafe. The guardrail needs to be replaced with a modern standard MBG to protect the public safety and welfare.
Construction drawings have been completed for the replacement of the MBG. A Contractor is willing to do the work as soon as the funds are available. An amt of $180,000 has reverted from last year's Guardrail Construction Prog Acct and was never reappropriated.
THEREFORE MOVE that Ccl, subj to approval of the Mayor:
1. Appropriate $180,000 within Fund No. 206, Dept 50, from Acct No. M-500, to Acct No. M-601 Guardrail Construction Prog, W.O. E6000452.
2. AUTH the Bureau of Engineering, acting by and through the Board of Public Works, to be the lead agency to direct and coordinate this replacement project.
