PINK TERRAZO PORTION - HOLLYWOOD WALK OF FAME
Subject
Motion - In order to enable the making of needed repairs to the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, it was necessary to decertify the historic designation of the pink terrazzo portion of the stars. The City's Cultural Heritage Commission therefore acted to do so. However the State Office of Historic Preservation has indicated concern that this action was made in the absence of a required EIR.
Action is needed to direct the Bureau of Engineering to prepare the necessary EIR.
THEREFORE MOVE that the Bureau of Engineering be directed to prepare for Council action within 60 days, an EIR on the decertfication of the historic designation of the pink terrazzo portion of the stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
