Mo- The Hollywood Historic Trust is voluntarily repairing damaged stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This work is being done as part of the preservation of one of Hollywood's most popular tourist attractions. This will be an ongoing project for Hollywood, which is just one of the City's shining jewels.
The City has received a req from the Hollywood Historic Trust to waive the BPW fees and costs in connection with the repairs of this historic landmark. For forty years, a permit fee has been paid for the installation of each new star and will continue to be paid. No fees have ever been paid by the Historic Trust or the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce for the repairs of damaged stars. The Hollywood Historic Trust is voluntarily incurring the expense of repairing the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The City believes it is imperative to support this worthwhile endeavor.
THEREFORE MOVE that the BPW & its bureaus be directed to waive all fees and costs in connection with the Hollywood Historic Trust's repairs on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This action is meant to apply to the work now taking place as well as to any future repairs made to the Hollywood Walk of Fame by the Hollywood Historic Trust.
