HERMON COMMUNITY CHURCH NEIGHBORHOOD CELEBRATION ANNUAL PICNIC

Motion - On Sunday, July 7, 2002, the Hermon Community Church will be conducting an annual Church Picnic. The City has received a request to declare the function a Special Event. Approval of this event will mean that an estimated $312 in fees and salary costs will be absorbed by the City. THEREFORE MOVE that this event be declared a Special Event and the involved City Departments be requested to waive all fees, costs, and requirements. FURTHER MOVE that the City temporarily allow a street closure for the morning celebration portion of the event on Sunday, July 7, 2002 from 8:00 am until 12:30 pm, on Wheeling Way between Via Marisol and Monterey Road. FURTHER MOVE that the Bureau of Street Services be directed to furnish the necessary traffic control devices. Traffic control devices will be provided with the understanding that the sponsoring organization will pick up and return them to the Bureau of Street Services. FURTHER MOVE that should unforeseen circumstances change the actual date of the Special Event, the aforementioned departmental instructions continue to apply.
