STATUTE OF MARILYN MONROE

Motion - Council District 13 is coordinating the placement of a statue of Marilyn Monroe on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of her birth, donated by the Government of Italy, to be located on the City sidewalk in front of the Max Factor Building / Hollywood History Museum at 1660 North. Highland Avenue in Hollywood. Action is needed to waive the City permit fees that may be required for this effort, estimated at an amount not to exceed $1,000, inasmuch as this is a public benefit project. THEREFORE MOVE that the Council direct the Bureau of Engineering and any other involved City department to waive all necessary permit fees that may be required relative to the placement of a statue of Marilyn Monroe on the City sidewalk in front of the Max Factor Building / Hollywood History Museum at 1660 North Highland Avenue in Hollywood.
