Motion - That the Council instruct the Department of General Services (GSD), Office of Public Safety (OPS) and the Information Technology Agency (ITA) to provide recommendations for the installation of wireless broadband security cameras at the Van Nuys Civic Center.
That the City Administrative Officer (CAO) and the ITA identify funding for the installation of wireless cameras at the Van Nuys Civic Center.
That the Department of General Services (GSD), Office of Public Safety (OPS) and the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) identify public safety priorities within the Van Nuys Civic Center.
That the Department of Public Works (DPW) report on the number of requests for graffiti removal and bulky item pick-up within a one mile radius of the Van Nuys Civic Center.
That the Council request the City Attorney to draft an ordinance or amendment to the Los Angeles Municipal Code that would prohibit leaving unattended property in or around the Van Nuys Civic Center.
